Advanced Defensive Handgun (ADH) is the continuation of our standard Defensive Handgun Course. We firmly believe that to be "Advanced,” a shooter needs to do nothing more than the "Basics” really well. ADH reinforces many of the tactics taught in Defensive Handgun such as; defensive mindset, draw cycle and presentation, combat marksmanship, advanced weapons manipulation, use of cover, shooting on the move, engagements from contact to extended distances, multiple targets, moving targets, malfunction clearance, complete situational awareness, legal considerations, and law enforcement interaction. Through the use of dynamic simulation drills ADH will also introduce participants to the following topics: use of a handgun from alternate positions, vehicle considerations, extreme close quarters, wounded / compromised ability handgun manipulation, weapons retention, and transitional use of force.
