Glock gen4 vs 3 steel guide rod asm

I just a g17 gen 4, was wondering if anyone has used the gen 3 steel guide rod asm with the slide adapter? I ordered a new ss 2 spring asm for it but I have a couple of tungsten and ss guide rods for my gen 3s I was thinking of trying. I know the 2 spring is supposed to reduce recoil but is it that noticeable in a g17? G17 doesn't recoil is pretty good already.

I'll be the first to say just leave it alone. You've said yourself that recoil is already pretty good on a G17. If you aren't having reliability issues, I wouldn't mess with it.
