Default PICS challenge form 60 day waiting period.

Hello, I recently tried to purchase a 357 on 7/9/13, I was denied by PICS. I got a challenge form that I filled out and mailed on 7/9/13. They say that I would receive a letter with 5 business stating that they received my challenge form. Its 7/21/13 and I still havent received anything back stating that they have received my challenge form. The rate this is going Im wondering if I may get anything back. What my question here is if I dont receive anything back in 60 days after I mailed the challenge form out on 7/9/13, Does it state anywhere that I am legally clear to buy a handgun or do I have to go through the whole process of filling out another challenge form again?

No you won't be clear to buy one without a reversal letter. You'll probably get the letter in a few days but you can call and leave a message. Phone number is on the PSP website. They'll get back to you but it may take a couple weeks. It's a slow process. None of the time frames they give you are followed. They are just too busy. At one point they told me I was 200th in line and that was well into the process.

I could be wrong - I thought I read it somewhere that the if PICS don't responds in timely manner, that your cleared to buy one by default, but no sane gunship will sell you one without the reversal letter.
Potential of legal issue(and cost associated with it) is simply TOO MUCH...

I thought is was Approve, Delay or Deny with the Delay being if you don't hear from them in X amount of days the sale can go through. I could be totally wrong
Peace is that brief glorious moment in history when everybody stands around reloading.

No he won't be getting any guns through pics without that reversal.
