Rem 700 question

Hey all...does anyone know if bottom metal is available for a Rem 700 308 sa that would take DPMS mags? I looked online but came up short...any experience?

I have not seen any or have even heard of any for SR25 style magazines. I looked as well in various places and haven't found any. Most stick with Accuracy International magazines for Remington 700 dbm conversions. I gather that you want to do this for interchangeability between two rifles/platforms?

Exactly...I have plenty of mags for my M&P10, but cringe at the price/availability of AICS mags...they're just ridiculous. To have a bolt gun and ar platform using one type of mag would be ideal.

this is why mossberg came out with the MVP, check it out... I want one pretty bad! Its a bolt action that uses ar mags

I believe they are going to do a 308 caliber and wouldn't be surprised if they try the 300 Blk.

Hey viperhummel....just to clarify who's they? I'm really interested before I drop cash on bottom metal and a stock...currently a bull barrel getting sent out for truing, threads/crown

There is an article out about the MVP in 300 Blackout. Still waiting on a 308 Winchester, though.

The only one I know about is the Kwik-Clip for the Remington 700.

Back in the 80's when the Kwik clip came out there was all kinds of problems with the recoil dropping the magazine. I had a friend back then that shot with me, He had one on his 308. Everytime he shot the mag would fall out lol. I would think its fixed now.
