PAFOA at Chester County Sheriff Office
I finally went and applied for my LTCF at the Chester County Sheriff's office this morning. When I entered the office, one of the deputies working there asked what they could do for me and I said "I have an application for an LTCF". The deputy that came to the desk to help me then says "LTCF! All those acronyms. You must be hanging out at the PAFOA site".
I agreed that I knew the site. He looks over the app and then jokes "When I'm entering this in the system, do you want me to put in your real name or your PAFOA screen name?"
Looks like the site has a rep with the Chesco Sheriff's department.
For those wondering, it was an excellent experience applying there. Took about 20 minutes because of some issues they were having with the camera they use to take your picture with, but otherwise, great. The deputies were polite, friendly, and quick. Deputy Di Vito (think I spelled that right), offered a few websites to check out to familiarize myself with PA justification of force laws and state reciprocity (already know them from here, but helpful) and recommended a couple of concealed carry training classes if I was interested.
Told that I should get the card in the mail in about 3 weeks. Looking forward to having it.

On noes! They're monitoring us on the emails.
Rules are written in the stone,
Break the rules and you get no bones,
all you get is ridicule, laughter,
and a trip to the house of pain.

Re: PAFOA at Chester County Sheriff Office
I've said it before and I'll say it again. Bunny and her organization are rock solid supporters of the 2nd Ammendment! I have been in there numerous times over the past 20 or more years and everyone I have met has always been not only professional and courteous, but downright friendly! There has never been a problem asking for and getting sign-offs on LTCF's or Form 4's.
I always go out of my way to vote for Bunny when she is up for re-election and always will. I also routinely send a few bucks to the PA Sheriffs' Association each year. They have always supported me so I believe it is only right to likewise support them.

Hopefully they can upgrade to a system where you can walk out with your LTCF on the same day. Otherwise a good deal.

I didn't know having your screen name on your LTCF was an option... sweet!

Re: PAFOA at Chester County Sheriff Office
Went to Bucks County Courthouse on a Wed. morning at 8:50 and left with mine at 9:15. They were there early and had the camera and computers already up to speed for the days traffic. This is what I meant. Some counties make it a lot harder than it has to be or is supposed to be. I'll take speedy and done over friendly and polite and a 3 week wait any day.
