The Leesport Gun Show will be held on Saturday, August 17th thru Sunday, August 18th, 2013. The Leesport, PA Gun Show will be held at the Leesport Farmers Market and is hosted by the Appalachian Promotions of Pennsylvania. All Federal, State and local firearm ordinances and laws must be obeyed.

I'll be at this upcoming show in my regular spot down by "Minuteman" ( the reloading dealer along the wall by the garage door ).

I'm only bringing hi-cap magazines, not my AR15 parts display with all the colored bins.

Hour drive for me. Worth it?

From 1998-2004 I lived 5 miles away (Maidencreek Twp), and almost always went to the show.

It is a small hall, and I think worth a half-hour drive, but I don't know about all the way from York Co. just for that show. BUT If you have an urge to go to Cabelas 15-20 minutes up the road in Hamburg, then it (Show + Cabelas) would be worth the long drive from York. But beware Cabelas is low on many (but not all) firearms-related items, but has plenty of fishing gear and hunting clothing.

I was at Cabelas on Monday and they didn't appear to be low on anything. I was able to buy pistol ammo (no limits on quantity). The only thing I couldn't find on my shopping list was brass cased 230g FMJ 45's in boxes larger than 50 rounds, but I'm not sure that they even sell that.

The rifle ammo was no limit except 22LR. There was every kind of shot shell imaginable, in boxes and cases, available, and no limit on quantity. Their gun cases and wall displays were completely full, as were the used long gun racks.

Thanks for the good idea. Never been to Cabela's. the family loves going to BassPro in Harrisburg so I'm betting they'll like Cabelas. We'll head out in the morning, stop at the gun show for a bit and then head to Cabelas.

How is this show for WW2 firearms I am looking for an SMLE or a K98 , plus possibly a Mosin .

Thats what I was planning on doing. Cabelas and show. How is that area for OC. I just started and dont want to mess my day up on my only day off! lol...Thx
