Re: Trop Gun
Yeah the prices of most of the used guns on the list are a bit high, some ridiculously high, several within a few bucks of a new one. Also most of the "good" ones are listed as "on auction", which I assume means on Gunbroker. Dont understand why they even list these on the email list. Have gone to the store to ask if they had any "wiggle room" on 2 different occasions about guns off the list i was potentially interested in but felt were priced a tad high and told no both times. Trop is definately no longer on my regular stop list, and in my opinion probably wouldnt be in business anymore if it wasnt for the range income.

Re: Trop Gun
Stopped by the store again as I moved closer. A few things I can comment on:
1. All of their 'deals' they run are ONLINE only and never in store.
2. Their prices are a good 20-30% higher than other places I have seen, probably bc of their retail space being so large.
3. They basically have 50% of the inventory they used to. They used to have harder to find pistols or unique ones people don't often search for, but now its mostly Glocks, Springfields, S&Ws and maybe a little assortment here or there.
4. Their used section shrunk a lot.
5. They offer worse than Cabelas on trade ins.
6. They have worse ammo selection than Cabelas or Bass Pro, they used to have it all including great deals on ammo.
It really is a shame on what happened to that store. The only upside of going there is they have a SilencerShop kiosk and now they have my cans in jail.

Re: Trop Gun
Not sure what's going on, but they haven't had any Gunbroker listings for a few weeks now. Stopped by today and the place definitely isn't looking healthy. Inventory has shrunk considerably over the past few months. Unfortunately, I have no reason to continue stopping by while in the area.

Re: Trop Gun
Stopped by today looking for some reloading supplies and was very disappointed. The old shop was my go to for reloading, now their reloading section is one shelf. Store was dead considering it was Friday at 6 o'clock.

Re: Trop Gun
I always felt uncomfortable at the old tropps. Like i wasnt part of the "in" group. When they opened back up in the new larger store/range, it was completely different. Emp[loyees seamed to care about you and if you were coming back. I loved the place. Bought a rifle and shotgun there. Prices werent bad. Range was phenominal! Over the years though, they have gone down hill. I dont go at all anymore. You have to be a range member or stand around and wait. Prices suck, very over-priced. They have reverted back to the "i dont know you" mentality. I would rather travel a little further.....
