Default King Shooters Supply - KOP

Went in today while I was in the area.
Had a Glock on consignment and I was interested in it. Pulled the slide back I’m pretty sure I saw some rust so I asked if they would allow me to break it down and take a look at the internals.

Shop said no, it’s against their store policy. This is the first time I’ve ever been denied breaking down a preowned firearm to take a look at internals.
I don’t care if it is a Glock or a Noveske. I saw something I didn’t like and wanted to take a closer look.
Having my requested refused I put the gun down and told them it’s a stupid policy and left.

    I will not be returning.

I had that happen at another shop when I wanted to look under the dust cover of an AK. They told me I couldn*t and gave a few reasons, like people not knowing what they were doing, internal parts flying all over the place, people trying to swap parts, etc.

Seemed reasonable to me. I didn*t buy the rifle, but I didn*t hold it against the store.

*OK, will you pull the slide off it? I think I see rust.*

Agree with Carson, seems reasonable that they wouldn't want you doing it... certainly they should break it down.

I bought my Springfield Armory 1911 from King's and got a fair price... I wouldn't write them off.

p.s. there's threads already in progress for King Shooters... for example: https://forum.pafoa.org/showthread.p...=king+shooters

Wouldn’t break it down for me.
Buy as is, or don’t buy.

I chose not to buy. If others wish to blindly buy firearms. That’s on them. Just sharing my experience with the shop.

.....thus a potential sale was killed and that gun probably didn't get another look the rest of the day .

Don*t like Kings either. But it was the copper based grease you were looking at? Maybe?

I have been dealing with Pat and Roger for over two decades and never once they deluded me. If you have a problem with one of the employees just ask to speak to one of them and if your request is reasonable they will certainly accommodate you or find a solution to your issue. Like someone already suggested they would most likely disassemble it for you. Sometimes employees do things that the store may not agree with, sometimes intentionally most of the times out of ignorance. Don*t write the store off, they deserve a second chance. Email Pat and she*ll make sure to take care of you. You*ll see.

Then you were justified in walking away from that gun. Of course that isn*t what you said happened in your original post. If it was, I wouldn*t have blown shit at you.
