Can someone date this Marlin-Glenfield Mod. 25
The serial # is 68 45563. Thanks in advance!

In all seriousness... This relates to the model 60 but they probably didn't change their dating techniques much between models.
Through about 1971, the first two numbers of the serial number correspond to the year. # 70698590 would have been made in 1970. After that, you have to subtract the first two numbers from 2000 to get the year. # 17873845 would have been made in 1983. They have since switched back to the old method.

Thanks for the link. Seems to be a 1968 then if I am reading correctly. I was just wondering how old it is . I know it is not worth much but it has sentimental value as it was the first firearm I shot with my father. I actually belonged to my grandfather and I have great memories of shooting at simple paper plates tacked to an old fencpost on grandpa's farm when I was a preteen and early teenager.
