    Default Ruger SR1911

Just curious if anyone has one, and what ya think of it. I just ordered a CMD variant yesterday from Hakes. Was looking for a nice 45 ACP carry piece and I really liked the way the one I had seen/ fondled before felt. OC ing a Judge Magnum is getting to be a hassle and the price was right on this one, so I ordered. Ill put my thoughts up when it comes in and I can get to my buddies place to shoot.

I've got a SR 1911 commander, right here in York county as well! You should have come over to test it out before you put your hard earned money down on it though .... because you would have bought it sooner!
I absolutely love mine. It shoots well and I consistently shoot better groups than two friends with Glocks and Kimbers of the same caliber. I prefer the size and weight of the commander over my dads full size colt 1911a1 as well. Enjoy!!

I have the full size SR1911 and haven't bought another 1911 since this one does it all!!!

Not sure I'd get the smaller CMD but I'm sure it will be a winner.

Hickok45 has a video on the SR1911 CMD.
Peace is that brief glorious moment in history when everybody stands around reloading.

Greg is actually the reason I got the CMD version. I watched his video earlier this week, ordered the gun the next day.

    Thanks for the thoughts fellas!

I picked up the full size one at the York show a couple weeks ago for $629. Just had it out for the first time Wednesday. Shoots great!

Ruger's site lists MSRP at 829.00 (Yeah I know..nobody pays MSRP) so 629.00 is a great deal.

If I remember correctly a lot of people were paying MSRP or above for these when they first came out since demand was so much higher than supply. Nice to see they have come back down to a more reasonable price. I have been entertaining the idea of making one my first .45.
