    Default Fingerprinting

I needed to get fingerprinted so I could send away for my Utah license. Yesterday I called the Delaware County Courthouse which is about 10 minutes from my house. They said that I had to set up an appointment and the earliest time they could do it was August 23rd.

Next I called the Chester County Courthouse which is about 15 minutes from my house. They basically said, "sure, come in any hours that we are open and we will take care of it".

I went today and was in and out in about 15 minutes. Pleasant with no problems.

So kudos to the Chester Country Courthouse, Jeers to the Delaware County Courthouse.

I had a similar experience here in York County, also for fingerprinting for my Utah permit. First place I called was the York Area Regional PD in Spry. Their only stipulation was that I call ahead so I could arrange to be there at the same time as one of their officers/detectives who were certified.

In and out aside from some friendly chit-chat relating to the Utah permit.
While many claim to support the right, precious few support the practice.

I called my local PD for fingerprinting that was required for suppressor paperwork.

They told me I could come whenever I wanted and they'd take care of it immediately. No charge since I live in the borough, out-of-borough people would get charged $20 they told me.
