Moved.....is permit still valid?

Moved from Chester County to Delaware County. So now the address on my permit isn't my home address.

Do I need to get a new one? This one doesn't expire for almost 3 years.

Good question! I would make a trip to your new county sheriffs office because they will probably issue you a new permit in the new county. I do know that as a PA resident you can only obtain a permit from within the county you reside.

Your required (says on back) to update your Drivers License with PennDOT within 15 days if you move.

As for the LTCF, I really don't know. I can't find anything saying you are required to update it if you move. I would though...just to be safe...and in case you are stopped and someone looks at it.

That is interesting, it sounds like by calling them, all you're doing is having your renewal sent to your new address. It doesn't sound like you need to get a new card until then.

Notifying for your DL is a law. There's nothing on the books about a LTCF (at least i can't find)

I can't find any supporting documentation, but given that permits are issued on a per-county basis, I would think that when you move form county-to-county one would need to contact the respective sheriff's offices.

In addition, given that one's address is on the permit, I would think that any change in address would require an update to the permit and the sheriff's records.

The LTCF is valid until it expires, despite your having changed addresses.

Unlike a driver's license, there are no forms for effecting a change of address for an LTCF.

The Uniform Firearms Act is silent on the subject other than the license being valid until revoked or expired.

You're good to go.
