    Default 100rd Drum Mags AK47

Just checking to see what I should be paying for a chinese style 100rd drum for 7.62x39? My local shop has one for $99, is that fair?

that's probably about right, if it's chinese it would be a good buy, if it's korean it's not quite as good but still serviceable IIRC.

A friend of mine went into the store this evening and asked for a 75rd drum they handed him one and charged him $100 bucks. He got home and realized it was a 100rd drum. I guess he either got lucky or the owner was aware that it was indeed a 100rd drum and didn't tell him.

they probably didn't know, the only difference between the 75 and 100 round chinese style drum is that the 100 round is a bit larger.

Chinese are usually more money than any other kind. Koreans and Romanians are cheaper. Look for a triangle with an arrow in it. Chinese marking.

I want one. Can someone go get one and send it to me?

If these are Chinese back loading 100rd drums $100 is a good price.

Do they wind up from the back? Look for a little proof mark with a # in it. It's usually two or 3 numbers. That's legit Chinese.

This is the type that opens from the back and does wind up. But I cannot for the life of me locate any markings/numbers on the outside of the drum.

Ahh... ok. I only have the 75rd ones. Both the Chinese and the Romanian copies of the Chinese.

But a 100rd one would be sweet.

I just wish there was a way to verify it wasn't a Korean one or something weird.

All of them work. Even dropped one loaded. It crushed the door lip on a gun locker... didn't even put a mark in the drum.
