Re: Obama requested 15k Russian troops
Tried posting this on "Free Republic" and it got pulled real fast...stating "false story".
Nothing really surprises me any more as we're spiraling down quickly. If this is true, it's an awakening to the people that are already awake. After seeing Toomey, Rubio and other politicians go "looney", I have lost faith in the system. It's co-opted in all branches, groups and beyond. Re: Obama requested 15k Russian troops
The main thing that makes me skeptical is I first saw this story linked to infowars, so that right there has me thinking.

Re: Obama requested 15k Russian troops
Nah no need to fix it, there are many steps leading up to an actuall issue and we are not anywhere near that. The paranoids need their daily fix to keep them focused. Should this ever happen, notice I said SHOULD and not it will never happen, I hope they bring plenty of body bags suitable for long return flights.

Re: Obama requested 15k Russian troops
It will happen in some form, because it's already pretty much over. And you are not giving them enough credit assuming that it will be a lopsided miscalculation on their part. They are not stupid. And they know what you are having for breakfast next Monday.

Re: Obama requested 15k Russian troops
It will always happen, human nature is very predicable. The only wild card is what event(s) will serve as the trigger. Americans as a whole are slow to anger but once you hit that trigger point there is a sudden violent movement towards the perceived enemy. The big problem is we run out of steam and lose focus after a time. As for our opponents, they suffer the same weaknesses, they overlook their weak links and act before they fully consider the ramifications. They can plan and plot and stockpile all they want. In the end they get a full helping of Karma and a dirtnap. Many an evil group thought they would win only to feel the effects of gravity and a sudden stop at the end of a short rope.

Re: Obama requested 15k Russian troops
As of the story being allegedly false, various russian news sources mentioned this meeting and specialists exchange arrangement. Could it be 15 thousand specialists? Yup.

Re: Obama requested 15k Russian troops
I notice a lot of people that post this infowars blabber on this forum and others tend to be new posters and those that don't contribute at all in other areas or in whatever the core interest is of the website, like guns for instance. In other words driving traffic to a site for revenue purposes.
What I don't like about infowars is it preys on people already paranoid or freaky and takes minor things and then crafts a hysterical, false and phony story. Russians doing an exchange program of emergency personnel is now 15,000 Spetsnaz troops, as an example. DHS putting solicitations out for a couple of hundred million rounds maximum over 5 years is now the DHS bought 1.6 billion rounds just yesterday.
To me, yes, right now the US government is doing a lot of things hostile to our way of life and culture, but lets deal in facts, not phony gibberish by pimps of misinformation.

Re: Obama requested 15k Russian troops
No doubt about it, we've got problems as a country. But a meeting between 2 countries and an agreement on exchanging specialists(which happens every day) doesn't translate into 15,000 Spetsnaz deployed on the streets of Pennsylvania. I'd like to know how people got from there to here. In other words how some benign exchange program morphs into 15000 Spetsnaz in the minds of the paranoid?
