    Default Prices are coming down....

Went to Dunhmans yesterday. Went back to check on ammo and rifles. They had a nice stock of AR's and AK's. And they had sign up that I was surprised to see.

Bushmaster Carbon 15 Rifle Reg. $899......$749
Bushmaster Optics Ready Carbine Rifle Reg $1099.....$899
Bushmaster Patrolman's Carbine Rifle Reg $1199.....$1049

Looks like prices are finally starting to come back down closer to normal.

Didn't get any prices on AK's.

    I saw that too.

Even "Old Lar" in Tiona who uses Pennswoods to advertise is in that ballpark for AR15's now. ...and he usually has a healthy padding to his prices for the local convenience.

Another gage of this: I've seen a few WASR's on gunbroker that didn't even get bid to $500. Didn't sell of course.

    Here's one that didn't even reach $200!

Why gunbroker? Go check classified section. People selling their stuff thinking that we dont know real prices.

Someone builds an AR and just cause he built it its called custom and priced above $1200. For that money I can get two PSA carbines or one Colt.
    Come on people get real.

Now if only ammo prices/availability would follow as fast. 9mm and 22LR is nearly impossible to find or offensively expensive. The only ammo that seems to be around pre-panic prices is 7.62x39 and 7.62x54.
Sanity, yours if you can keep it.....

I've had not trouble getting 9mm and .22 at Walmart.

I just check there as a sort of 'litmus test'. If stuff isn't selling there, panic buying must be slowing. You're right about classifieds still having a lot of ridiculous prices. As an example, I think it was on Armslist that I saw a $750 Norinco SKS.

And that custom build would be of unknown quality.

I've been to Wal-Mart's in Matamoras, Stroudsburg and Honesdale several times since December yet I haven't seen anything but birdshot and a few scant boxes of hunting calibers. I bought 9mm from a local firearm dealer for $18/50 rounds back in February and since then the same business wants $27/50 rounds.
