I was there. We did not take any firearms. My orders were to disarm people firearms only if we were threatened. Given the environment we were more likely to disarm local PD than civilians - since they were all thugs. We all know firearms were stolen.

But they were not stolen by my unit.

It would have to start somewhere by that one person (or group) that is not willing to given in to the gov even upon threat of death.

So the question is, how many would follow?

Smart citizens do not grab their firearms and charge - they stay hidden and use hit and run tactics.

You could drive local PD and military personnel crazy by pot shots from distances and different directions all day long.

As it has been mentioned, the other side is going to have the big stuff.

But their numbers will be few between those that refuse to fire on their family, friends, and neighbors and those that may be part of the other side.

When I was a dispatcher for Lycoming County Communications years ago there were several from the PDs that were not willing to give anything over and threatened that they would send out one bullet at a time if threatened with confiscation.

So, don't forget the PD that may come over.

And with many townships and boroughs tightening their fiscal belts the local PDs have shrunk a little.

    A lot to think about.

It is amazing what the founders of our country did and the courage they had to have.

But what may have made it a smidge easier was it was against literally another country (though many "citizens" were displaced British citizens.)

    Just some thoughts ...

    God bless!!

So because the government has more guns/ammunition, you would just give them your guns if/when they come?! I hope I'm misreading this..

All it takes is 1 match to set off a ton of dynamite. 1% = 1 match. I also think our military will not fire on thier own family and friends do you? Now if we're talking about government hacks I would say yes, they would kill thier own mama just like the Gestapo.

Yes because I am law abiding citizen.

I prefer to be alive to see my grandchildren. Losing my gun does not 100% guaranteed slavery. Armed resistance to the government is a 100% guaranteed death.

For you it might be a weakness. To me its a wisdom.

You are already a slave. You pay taxes right? Why? Cause government said you have to. Credit cards, loans all our financial system. Do you have a superviser or boss?

I have almost non-existent faith that anyone would stand up to government thugs. At least no one around here.

It hurts my heart to think this but I believe it's the truth.
