10/22
Just snatched up a ruger 10/22 standard model for $247.00 Any suggestions on optics from you 10/22 experts. I love the iron to a point. I want to reach out further.

On that rifle you can get a lot of mileage out of a no-name, off the shelf, $30, 4x fixed scope.

Scope looks like a Leapers 4x32 to me. Muzzle brake you can get on Ebay, from Midway and etc.
A nice little .22 scope is a Bushnell Banner 1.5x-4.5x X 32. I put one on my dads Remington .22. At 1.5x the angle is that wide you can see the front sight at the bottom of the scope. Cost is around $80.

Thanks folks! As soon as I finish the "honey do list" I'm off to Duhnam's. Then I'm off to put holes in paper plates! Why spend money on expensive targets!

Re: 10/22
I really like the Nikon Rimfire Prostaff 3-9 on my wives 10/22. The optics are clear, the adjustments are solid and repeatable, and it comes with a good warranty. The bullet drop compansating reticle makes popping clays at 100 yards a breeze. I was very impressed, so much I have one on order with some quick disconnect rings for my takedown.
