Florida permit classes

Good afternoon all,
A question for you, where can one go for the NRA safety class needed for a Florida OOS CCW permit? If I live in PA, do I need to go to a PA class or can I go to one in Delaware? I live in PA (Delaware County) and work in Delaware (Newark area). Thanks in advance for the help.

You can go to any NRA Basic Handgun, in any state.

Even a PA Hunter Education card will work.

Oh sweet, that works? I think it's time to start applying for some other permits so I can carry in some other states, like DE.

I will be teaching the NRA Home Firearm Safety Course in Easton on 7/6 for $65 and the NRA Basic Pistol Shooting Course in Orefield on 7/13 for $100.

You can also use a Non Resident Utah CFP or Non Resident Arizona CCW to carry in Delaware. We are hosting a Utah CFP class in Delaware County, PA (Sharon Hill) if interested on 29 June 2013.

Utah CFP renewals are only 15 dollars compared to $117 dollars for Florida.

I took my class at the gunshow at the National Guard Armory a few years ago. We did the written test and then went to Classic Pistol to shoot the gun. I then was given all the info to mail it in!

For a non-resident, Florida is $112 for the initial license and $102 for renewals, PLUS you need new fingerprint cards each time you renew in Florida.

The DD-214 works in Florida because Florida has stated that they accept it as proof of firearms safety training. Most other states don't accept the DD-214 (although I believe there are a few others that will).
