Recommend me a DA/SA
I am in the market for a new pistol and would like to try something new. I only own striker fire pistols and want shake it up a bit by getting a different system. I have shot my buddies Sig but except for that I do not know much about DA\SA pistols. I will be using this gun for target shooting and CC, and would like to stick to a $750 budget so what guns would you guys recommend for my price range. Thanks

Re: Recommend me a DA/SA
My top three
Beretta Px4 .45/.40/9mm
FNX .45/.40/9mm
H&K USP .45/.40/9mm
With your 750 price range ...I'd go with the USP as long as you what full size ...go compact or subcompact and Beretta is the forerunner .
FWIW... My EDC is a Px4 storm subcompact .40 , my other two DA/SA platforms are
S&W 411 .40
Beretta Px4 Storm compact 9mm
I also have a S&W M&P .40 ( not a DA/SA but it my only striker fired pistol )Last edited by Zeke2A; June 20th, 2013 at 05:38 AM.

Re: Recommend me a DA/SA
Sounds like none of the striker fired pistols you own are DA/SA. There are some good quality DA/SA striker fired pistols out there, or do you simply want a DA/SA pistol with a hammer instead of a striker?
BCM and Glock...for a bigger pile of 'cold dead hands' brass.

Re: Recommend me a DA/SA
You should really take a good look at Sig Sauers. You can find some good deals on used P220's (.45), and P226's (9mm),maybe even a P239, and they are great to shoot and accurate as heck. I am not a big fan of plastic shooters, although I have a few, the SP2022 (9mm) is a great bargain running about $450 or so brand new. It features a swappable backstrap, decocking system, nite sights, 15 round mags (17? Gotta get it out of the safe to check) still, plenty either way, and is bang on target! Sig is known for their DA/SA performance.

Also add just about any CZ pistol as well. I like the P-07 Duty but just about any of their models are top quality.

Pick a CZ of your choosing and spend the rest on ammo.

The CZs are the best bang for the buck. I have the CZ 85 Combat and the CZ Kadet and mine go to the range with me every time.

$750 budget?
Buy two used PD trade in S&W 5906 pistols and have money left over.
