1911 coversion kits
I picked up a Kimber 22 conversion kit for my kimber 1911's. The manual says that it should not be used on other brand 1911"s.
Why not?
Has anyone tried this kit on another brand 1911?troll Free. It's all in your mind.

Re: 1911 coversion kits
It's kinda strange for them to do that because it reduces sales considering the massive number of 1911's out there that are not made by Kimber.
I use it in my 9mm Colt Defender, believe it or not. It works if you hold the magazine in place, but I wouldn't recommend it. I can't see why it wouldn't work on a standard 1911 otherwise.

Ciener makes the Kimber kit from what I remember. Should fit all decent 5" 1911's.
