Default Glock "Grip Reductions" and "Reshaping"

I have noticed a trend on some other forums and blogs, that some guys have resorted to reshaping or reducing the grips on their Glocks..

Personally I waited till a month ago to buy my first Glock, because the grip always felt too blocky to me..

Now that the newer Glocks have the finger grooves (for lack of a better word), and the backstrap reshaped and thumb indent, the grip feels much better..

To me its ridiculous to grind away the FRAME of the pistol, won't that weaken the structure of the gun and make KBs all the more likely..?

If i was that dissatisfied with the grip on the Glock, I would just buy a SIG, XD, HK, Walther, etc, that fit my hand better..

That said, I know that messing with the grip will void the factory warranty..

Any thought from the folks here would be appreciated..

The plastic doesn't really have anything to do with the support of the casing and the only real risk is working it so thin you could get a minor crack or being able to pinch the mag with a strong grip. So...no, it won't make a Kb more likely.

I like a reworked grip. A worked grip can be custom tailored in a way that no manufacturer can match. This isn't a Glock, but the same thing applies....(and it looks nicer, anyhow)
