I avoid shooting indoors. The indoor air quality can be a real killer, especially if someone is cheaping on HVAC upkeep and/or ignores the dangers of airborne lead.

Most certainly, I'm out. Plus, I live no where near Pike County. Now, if he was holding and indoor IDPA classifier or a low light IDPA match, I might make the drive.

Hmmmmm... so regular shooting is bad but if it was one that YOU wanted then its ok ?? I really dont see the difference... ANY improvement to allow shooters to learn in a good environment is better than having to worry about weather, stray bullets going onto another persons land and also having someone on site to maintain the proper safety factors needed instead of competing with some people that have NO idea how to conduct themselves on a shooting rangeis a good thing

Although the air handling systems for indoor ranges can cost significantly more then the range setup itself, I'm certain that Bill will be installing one of the best systems currently available.

I am all for an indoor shooting range and anyone who is willing to put the $$$ in to do it gets my patronage and family too, even though its a 45 minute drive for me ,well worth my driving time. Good Luck !

Lead is horrible to the body and brain. There are a lot of good facilities out there and they tend to be really expensive to shoot at. Maintaining an HVAC system that collects all the lead particulate is an expensive proposition and most range owners tend to cut corners on this - when is the last time you saw an indoor air quality report posted at a range. Shooting in a potentially toxic facility is in no way better than shooting outside when it's cold or damp.

Also, saying I might do something is not the same as saying I will do something.
