full size carry?
I've been wondering what experiences anyone has had with carrying a "full size" 9mm, along the lines of an SR9, glock 17, etc. I'm a pretty big guy, and if I decide to cc, I don't really want a pocket gun. Would like info on actual firearms carried, and what types of iwb and/or shoulder holsters you're using. Thanks.

6'1", 165 carry a G17 IWB and OWB and 1911 IWB no problem. Untucked shirt obviously, but I wear my normal size not a bigger size just to conceal. The way I'm shaped, they tuck in nicely around 3:30.

full size 1911 colt combat elite.I use two IWB holsters a milt sparks veras max and a blade tech nano.works well for me I'm 5' 9" and about 235 LB.to carry full size you need two things one is a top line belt and a good holster.makes me laugh to see people with a $1000 plus handgun and their useing a $15 holster and a belt from K-mart.in fall and winter I wear vests and coats with a little extra room.summer I use hawaiian shirt and I do wear shorts to.so with the right carry gear and clothes full size CC isn't a problem.crazywolf

I carry a Glock 17 everyday.
Now using a Raven VG2, have used a CCC Shaggy and a leather OWB too.

Re: full size carry?
I carry a 1911 routinely, and I have also carried a Sig P226 from time to time. The 226 is definitely chubbier, but is hideable. As others have said, a good IWB holster makes almost anything carryable under a loose shirt. I used a Mitch Rosen for the 226 and have used the same holster for a 1911, though I use a FIST for the 1911 now. It also helps to have a very good belt.

Re: full size carry?
I routinely carry either a 5" 1911, Beretta 92FS or Glock 22.
Mainly OWB but I do have IWB for them as well.

Re: full size carry?
I carry a 5" 1911 IWB in a Galco King Tuck and Caracal F(Glock 17 size) in a Kydex OWB from RKBA Holsters.
An un-tucked shirt, sweatshirt, or fleece as long as they are long enough, is all I need to conceal. I prefer OWB.
