    Default Clairton Sportsman's Club

Actually searched for topics about this and didn't really find anything. I'm considering joining up as it's the closest club to where I live. Just looking to blow off some rounds with my pistols, and my AR once I finish building it.

Any comments/ raves/ rants about the club? Do they have super restrictive rules or anything?

Rifle range is restricted to loading ONE ROUND at a time. Not very AR friendly. I belonged there in the early nineties when I still lived in the burgh.

Ghee....at Clairton do you have to wait until your barrel cools down to a certain temperature before you load the next round?

Wow that is pretty ridiculous. I guess I'll have to go elsewhere for AR. I've considered PMSC but it's a bit of a drive from Southside. Just kind of tired of being forced into buying ammo at Anthony Arms when I want to go shooting, although at these times their ammo prices are actually competitive, ha.

Ghee Skeelo.....in non-rush hour from the South Side, PMSC shouldn't take you more than 20 minutes? Jump across the bridge to the parking lot east, get off at the other side of Monroeville on Rt 48, down over the hill and up the other side and your there.

Now, rush hour it's a different matter.
