Yet another vote for the Ruger Mark III. What a pain in the arse! But for how well it shoots, it's worth it.

Also, the bolt group of my PTR-91, THAT was a nightmare!

    For me the G/K 43.
Just getting to the FP and the pair of bolt lugs for cleaning is crazy stupid.

    Then there is the FCG.

I took a ton of pics the first time just so I could get it back together.
LoL I still have to use those pics.

I will add two to the list, the first a Stoeger Luger, I despise working on that thing. The second was a Win, 1400 I disassemble the bolt in a card board box to take it down, if not you are chasing springs.

Apearently I am the only person on the planet who never had that many issues with the Ruger .22s. My hardest by far was my Rossi .38/.357 M92 lever action. The actual tear down/assembly of the action wasn't incredibly difficult, although I struggled a bit getting the extractor and locking lugs back in. The worst part for me was getting the front barrel strap screw back in, I couldn't get it lined up, must have fought with that one screw for 45mins....

You just described my exact experience with that same gun. The action isn't too bad if you use a dummy cartridge to depress the ejector, but the front barrel band is a bitch! I've had it off twice now, and I think I have it figured out, but I'm never taking it off again anyway

Browning BPS, don't know why but I have always had the damndest time gettin it back together....except for one occasion when I may or may not have had quite a few adult beverages, it went back together flawlessly, haven't been able to repeat my performance since.

This thread is very convincing that I should never buy a Ruger .22

(I do own a 10/22, but that one is easy)

    My Ruger mkIII target pistol!
Haha so funny that everyone else said that too I pictured the gun apart as soon as I saw the thread title. To the above poster- I LOVE mine it's so much fun. Eats ANY ammo and it shoots so sweet. Great pistol to get a lady started shooting too.
