Re: What's the hardest gun you ever disassembled?
Yes!!! I was just about to go type this. Last time I took it apart was years ago. I completely disassembled it, hosed the stock out (yes, garden hose), cleaned it very well, and reassembled. Needless to say, I haven't shot it since. I've got a 10/22 on my short list.

Remington Nylon 66 and Remington Model 51 pistol.
The Ruger Mk 1 and Mk 2 are hard only the first time if you don't have a secret decoder ring.

Re: What's the hardest gun you ever disassembled?
The most difficult firearm I ever reassembled was an AR 15. (LET ME EXPLAIN) At the armorer's course, all 18 students had to COMPLETELY take there rifles apart and the instructor threw ALL of the parts into a really big cardboard box. Upon returning to lunch, we were told, get into the box and build a rifle. Sorting through the box looking for specific springs and roll pins was a pain in the ass for sure.

Re: What's the hardest gun you ever disassembled?
Just about anything Ruger that is a semi-auto.
First time I did a detail strip and cleaning on my Ruger P-9 carbine was a real pain in the ass (pre-youtube and online info days)....they make good stuff, just not something I would want to have to carry in the field and do maintenance on for sure.
I did a complete teardown and refinish of an old pump Hi-Standard shotgun that was a little difficult with the lift gate and little levers and pins in the action that had to be put back just right.

Re: What's the hardest gun you ever disassembled?
Unless parts are rusted, frozen, or otherwise broken, disassembly of just about anything is pretty easy. The ulcers come into play when you try to put it back together.
How much more evolution is it going to take for us to develop three hands so we can properly assemble a Ruger Mk pistol or a Remington 522?
