Default MAIG and CeasefirePA in Harrisburg today!

The gun grabbers are going to be in Harrisburg today at 1:30 for a "rally". The first I heard of it was on the news this morning. Not much planning in public ahead of time on this one. Maybe they didn't want us to show up.

From CF "Join us TOMORROW in Harrisburg to call for action on three commonsense pieces of legislation: expanding the background check system; a statewide lost or stolen reporting requirement; and a limit on high capacity magazines. It is time for action. The event is at 1:30 in the Capitol Rotunda. We hope to see you there."

I just saw that on the news myself! It will be held in the main rotunda with CF and two Philly D legislators. I'm going to try and reschedule an afternoon meeting and attend; maybe a stealth heckler!

    Go here: http://www.pasen.gov/

Find your reps. Then e-mail, fax, call. (For those of us who actually work for a living). I already emailed and will call during hours today as follow-up. Tell them to support HB 357 and NO MORE RESTRICTIONS on guns, mags, etc.

Sneak attack? This was posted last night at 2030 on WGAL! Guess Mayors against Legal Gun Owners did not want any competition. I bet there is a BIG story on channel 8 tonight! All we want is common sense "gun safety"!

Rally for 'common-sense gun legislation' slated for Wednesday
Number of organizations will gather at Capitol rotunda

The Mayors Against Illegal Guns, Cease Fire and a number of other organizations from across the state will join state senators and representatives in support of legislation to require background checks for every gun sale, including private sales.

The rally will be held in the main Capitol rotunda beginning Wednesday afternoon at 1:30 p.m.

Apparently our local MAIG supporter has gotten me booted again from the Mayors mailing list. I wondered why I haven't been getting my rally notices lately. I'll just join up again and use a proxy IP address. In the words of Joe Louis. "You can run but you can't hide."

LBaker, sorry I couldn't reply earlier, I was on my way out the door... none the less, my AM meeting at naval support went until 2:30PM, so the second meeting I cancelled to get to Harrisburg did me no good.

Those rats need to give us at least a day to get there! Hopefully someone got there to challenge their falsehoods. I'll keep an eye on the news.

No big deal, my day went to hell anyhow. Freaking architects! I wouldn't have been able to make it.

seems like it might be time to get some people attending meetings that the anti groups are holding incognito so we don't miss something like this again. I'm willing to go in the Lancaster area.
