The Nightforce was originally on this rifle. I swapped it for the SWFA. I had a Leupold Mk4 on the FN, but I sold it.

Very nice. Does that brake help much? I'm still on the crappy sporter barrel with my 260, but I was thinking of threading it for a suppressor until I get a real barrel.

The brake was supposed to be turned down to a narrower profile. It never was and the thread pitch is something goofy, not 5/8-24 like it should be. I think it's 5/8-28, so I just left it on there. I really want to add a can to it. As it us right now, I can spot my own shots. Its a big heavy rifle with a big dumb break shooting an intermediate cartridge.

Yeah, it looks like it has some heft. It's a nice looking rifle though.

Well then... that's the last time I take unsubstantiated claims from my friend's dad at face value! (Which is odd, because he's a really knowledgeable guy when it comes to history and firearms.)

Are most of you shooting off bipods or just resting the rifle on a backpack or something? And if bipod, are you using 6-9" or 9-13"? I am 6'3 so I am leaning towards a 9-13" if I go with a bipod.

Here's a few from my Mosin Nagant collection.

A couple of very fine Argentine's.
The 2nd was made into a sporster in the 1950's when Smiths did them right and is an excellent shooter.

It just dawned on me that I have not 1 modern bolt action rifle other then a cheap marlin 22lr.

Nothing wrong with that I don't have any modern rifles.
