Residents in the Washington Township, Northampton County, area should be on the alert in the wake of a house burglary and two attempted burglaries, township police Chief Daniel Cotturo said.
About 3 p.m. Wednesday, the resident of a home in the 1700 block of West Bangor Road reported someone tried to break into the home by smashing a window. The burglar or burglars were apparently scared off and nothing was taken, Cotturo said.
About 2:30 p.m. Thursday, the resident of a home on Verona Drive reported someone had tried to enter the home, but nothing was taken, Cotturo said.
Between 7:30 and 8 p.m. Thursday, a burglar or burglars pushed out an air conditioner at a home in the 200 block of Oak Street, entered and stole a laptop computer, Cotturo said.
Anyone with information about the break-in and attempted break-ins is asked to township police at 610-588-2040.
