DCFS IBS Benchrest Match on Sunday, 6/9/13

On Sunday, June 9 the DCF&S hi-power range will be holding a IBS Benchrest Match starting at 9AM and concluding shortly after Noon. Course of
fire consists of ten record shots (with unlimited sighters) into two IBS 100 Yard targets (5 record shots per target) placed at 100 yards.

In case you've never shot this match before, this is what an IBS 100 yard target looks like:

The lower right target is your "sighter" and you can put as many shots as you want into it, but all sighting shots must be within the sighter
target box. The other five targets are scored with one shot each.

Classes will be: Standard Barrel Centerfire, Heavy Barrel Centerfire, Standard Barrel Rimfire, Heavy Barrel Rimfire and Centerfire Benchrest.

There is no iron/open sight class for this match.

The use of unitized one-piece rests which support both the front and rear of the rifle (Lead Sled, etc.) is not permitted.

Match fee is $8.00

This is one of our most popular matches and the benches fill-up quickly.

Also, while the range is not closed to other shooters during the match, persons who are not shooting the match will be asked to vacate their
position for match shooters.

This match is open to the public. You do not have to be a DCF&S member to shoot the match.

Well, if you can see those iddy-biddy targets with your naked eyes more power to you. You're welcome to shoot irons but most if not everyone else will be shooting with optics and your rifle will be classed according to barrel type.

Our July 14 and September 8 benchrest matches (July is Groundhog, September is just plain benchrest) have iron sight classes.
