Default Saturday night Special - RG 23

I have an RG 23 it is a 22lr revolver made by Rohm Gmbh. Doing some research on this I found that is is the original Saturday night Special and a very cheaply made gun. Does anyone have a good reason why I should not shoot this revolver?

If the timing is off enough on a revolver, it WILL spit bullet material back at you.

You're the one pulling the trigger though...

Any way for me to test that before firing?

It was my understanding "Saturday night specials" were of the 38spl caliber variety, not 22lr. I could be wrong, though.

I've had several Rohm .22's. Nothing really wrong with them. They're fun guns for the money and fairly accurate. In fact the only .22 pistol I have now is a Rohm 66.

No, I believe the term is more directed at these cheap guns that were for sale by mail order, easy to get and cost like next to nothing. RG did make the 38 and other calibers.

The RG's are cute little guns. My dad used to carry one as a back up to a Smith 36 years ago. If you have any question as to the function of the gun, have it checked by a gunsmith. I am not a smith, but if you are going to be around Bushkill shoot me a pm and if I can I will check the timing and lock up for you, and show you how to do it.
