Scope ring help
I have a Browning Buck Mark and I ordered a rail off of Browning. My problem is I don't know what kind of rings to put on it. I ordered a set which I was told would fit a Pickatinny rail, which I believe Browning's is. When the rings arrived, the bolt is about a quarter inch in diameter and is too thick to let the rings bolt on. Do you know what kind of rings I need to get? The $25 price range or lower sounds good to me.

Re: Scope ring help
just checked my buckmark. no the rail is not a pickatinny rail. the slots are smaller and further apart. millett angle locks will work as well as weaver and tasco rings. millett would be my personal choice.

Re: Scope ring help
I checked out the milett website, and it seems like they sold out to another company, and when I read the reviews, seems like just about all of them were negative, only one or two gave a positive result. So Tuesday I'm going to call Weaver because they claim they have ones that fit. I'll let you know what I find out from them. Joe

Re: Scope ring help
apparently millett is now owned by bushnell. no big deal. as far as bad reviews go I have close to a dozen guns with their products on. rings and scopes as well. no problems so far. there is a review for ya. budget rings are just that, budget quality. weaver rings are common and easy to get, just a pita to use. word of advice follows. don,t make it harder than it has to be. good luck with your shopping. shoot straight, shoot often. red dog

Re: Scope ring help
Sounds like your rail is Weaver and your rings are picatinny...Picatinny is wider and you can use Weaver rings on a picatinny rail, but not vice versa.
