Don't you love all the "rare", "hard to find", etc. in all the gunbroker ad's. Seems everyone thinks their gun is rare. Saw this one today, maybe it's just me but I had to laugh out loud. Guys selling a "hard to find, rare" engraved SCCY pistol for $600 starting price. Even funnier, it has 1 bid !!!
Ok, SCCY rare and hard to find, sure, who would spend money to hand engrave a SCCY!!! I must admit, I bought a SCCY when they came out because it was an inexpensive compact 9mm, and haven't had any issues with it at all - but had to laugh at the ad. Oh yeah, and the gun is "very potent" !

Now that you mention it, I have noticed an awful lot of "rare" guns on gunbroker. Its funny too, because most don't really seem that rare to me....

Finding a Springfield Leatham Legend is rare,,,,, and Professionals are pretty close.

But it is a truly rare gun, in fact in the one photo it even defies gravity!

Some of the ads on this forum are just as funny. A used Glock with "only a few hundred" rounds through it for sale at new prices. I guess the word "depreciation" doesn't apply in this buying/selling craze.

What's funny is that people think if they put those terms in the descriptions the guns will bring a premium price. What's sad is that somebody with twice as much money as intelligence will actually pay it. What's even worse is that they are paying it for a gun that they never even physically held in their hand.

And even sadder still, It drives the prices up across the board for the rest of us. All because of Stupidity.
