Default Glock Light/Laser or NcStar Green Laser

I am considering a tactical light for the Glock 21SF.. It will be my home defense gun and the Glock 23 is my carry gun..

The Glock 21 has the picatinny rail on it, and I am wondering if the Glock GTL 51/52, the one with the Flashlight and 2 lasers, will fit it, or do I need to have the standard Glock rail..?

I have looked at the NcStar Green Laser, and that one is nice, but no flashlight included..

    Any opinions..

NC Star is low end garbage, and made by the Chinese Communists, I dont buy thier garbage.

As for the GTL 51/52, thats going to be LE or govt only, all IR laser modules i've run into are restricted, so you are unlikely to get one of those.

I prefer the Streamlight M6 myself, for a dual use light/laser, and they fit standard picatinny rails.

Thanks for the heads up on the NcStar laser... I came really close to getting one this past weekend at the gun show in Washington PA, for $96.00

Do you know of any green lasers that are not junk..? I really like the green..

LaserMax has a rail mounted green laser, it's laser only, no light.

I have no experience with any laser max products, but everyone one that I've talked to seems to like their LM products.

I'm not endorsing it, just giving you the heads up on it as you asked about green lasers.

If your looking for a green laser/light combo, to my knowledge, there isn't one out yet, but I haven't really looked that hard.

If you're looking for a light/laser combo, I'd really give Streamlight a try, I got to play with some of the TLR2 prototypes at French Creek Outfitters a while back and I was mildly smitten with them. If I had a handgun with a rail and was looking for a light/laser combo, I'd probably go with a TLR2.

I have a Light/Red LED combo on my G19 from Insight Technologies.
It's an older model and I don't know that they still make it. (M3-LED)

Here's a link to what JayBell mentioned. (M6)
    http://www.insightlights.com/products-m6.htm
It's like mine, but has a laser on the bottom instead of the LED.

I've been pleased with mine. The switches are VERY easy to operate,(ambidextrous)and it can be quickly removed if you want to use it "off gun".

Can't help with any "green laser" info.

I have a Aimshot LS8200 12mw laser thats set up in a Daniels Defense offest mount for an AR/M16 rail.

its really bright. really realy bright.
its also LARGE, unsuitable for a pistol

also, like tracers, it works both ways at night, the beam is highly visible for several hundred yards, even more when humid or dusty conditions are present.

frankly, until someone does a QUALITY miniaturization job on the green lasers, just get a red laser/light module.

remember, most wont fit in a holster with the light/laser on the gun.

NCstar laser FTW! have one mounted on my AR and couldnt be happier! great windage and elevation adjustment, works great in bright daylight up to 150yards, but hey its just me and other ppl will say that just because it has the name NCstar on it, it must me trash even though they have no experience with it.

I've often wondered about this......had some lasers on early guns.

Lasers are usually pretty far from the bore anyhow and rarely to point of aim save for a select distance. If it wanders .25 moa would it really matter? I mean, even if it wanders 1moa that's only 1/8" at 12.5 yards......on a laser that is likely not zeroed for that....and if it is .......it's WAY HIGH at 20 yards.......

So...as long as it stays lit.....and the mount is ok....shouldn't matter much.

actually, I have extensive 'experience" with NCstar stuff, its invariably poor quality.
If yours works well, consider yourself lucky, i hope it continues working.

NCStar and ChinaSports are not well known for quality optics and electronics, and thier service is nonexistent, its all to be considered "disposable" in reality.

its okay "starter" stuff, as folks gain more experience with the various optics and electronics choices out there, they inevitably move on to better quality accessories that last longer
