    Default Range Distance

I am just learning my basic and wondering a few things. First, my range is a standard NRA configuration, there are three yellow lines. In general what are the distance in yards of each line (I practice at French Creek in Phoenixville). Also what is a good distance to practice? I seem to be shooting most of the time at the second line.

    Thank you,
    Nick.

    Default Re: Range Distance

Most of the pistol ranges are set up at 7, 15, and 25 yards.

Most defensive shootings happen within 7 yards, and 25 yards is often considered the "maximum effective range" of a handgun - but that really depends on the shooter's skill level.
