Default Browning Buckmark Contour URX .22LR 7.25

I'm looking for a Browning Buckmark Contour with the 7.2 inch barrel (22LR). Has anybody seen any of these around? This looks like a great little range plinker; however, they seem to be scarcer than hen's teeth. Every online website I checked is out of stock, and there is only 1 on gunbroker. Does anybody know if these guns are still in production and/or where I can find one?

I am a Ruger MK II guy, but have been thinking about a Buckmark for a while. I often see Buckmarks in gun shops, but it is just about always the base Camper model which I do NOT want. I'd prefer a higher end more target oriented model, but they are very scarce, and when I do see them they are outrageously priced.

I believe the model you are seeking is still in production as it is still listed on their website. Scroll down a bit.

I've been looking for one of these in 5.5 or 7.5 for the last THREE YEARS and haven't been able to find one, new or used. No local shops have one or can order one and no internet shops have one in stock, ever.

    Good luck. I've had none...

Checked the stock of Davidson's (a distributor) and it shows "Allocated" which basically means "good luck finding one". You can check with some local shops that sell Browning to see if they can get you one from a supplier OR just buy one off of Gunbroker. I have bought a few guns off of Gunbroker and it has been trouble free.

Thats a great gun your looking for. I bought one a few years ago to go along with the Hunter model I have. They are a bit more scarce than some of the other models. I will check a couple of local shops that seemed to have had them more frequently and see if they'll ship them. If you like the look of the Hunter model, that also comes with the 7" barrel.

Believe it or not, I located a 5.5. Last gun dealer to look for the 7.2 is scratching his head, as he can't find any traces of it through any of his 3 suppliers. What are your thoughts on the 5.5 vs 7.2?

The 5.5 is the one I have always wanted, and I think it is the equal or better of the 7.2 Contour, but I am sure as accuracy goes it is a toss up. I prefer the aesthetics of the 5.5 though.

    I'd grab it.

The other Buckmark that tempts me is the "Buckmark Plus" with the slabside bull barrel.

For a plinker don't matter IMO.
