Dicks Sporting Goods

I decided yesterday to go and invest in a rifle (30-06 - Savage) that was at the local Dicks Sporting Goods, i had bought a shotgun from them before about 3 years ago and since that time have bought a Smith Wesson MP9 and a Springfield XDm .40 caliber from other another gun store that i go to all the time, no issues with any purchase or background check, given that i am a Legal Permanent Resident

In this case with Dicks, I completed and submitted my paperwork and stood around for nearly an hour, in the end the guy said that they will call me when the background check is complete..I've waited up to an hour in the past but this guy was quick to get off the call.

Although i was promised a call yesterday, i never got one and before the store closed, i stopped in to get a status update and was told that that they were still in research mode! and that i would get a call on Sunday

Still no calls from Dicks, my most recent gun purchase was 2 months ago, the background check took 30 minutes - anyone else had issues or troubles with Dicks?

If you wanted a vehicle, would you go to a store that caters to golfers and school age athletes? No. Don't go to Dick's for firearms.

You will find that most INFORMED members here will have MAJOR ISSUES with DICK's Sporting Goods. (Beware of the responses to follow.)


As to why you are having trouble getting your purchase taken care of,,,,I don't have a clue.

Due to Dick's Sporting Goods folding to political pressure and deciding not to carry AR15 rifles any longer, instead of supporting the 2nd amendment. I will never set foot or spend a dime there on either firearms or anything else.
