Pennsylvanians against Leslie Dutchcot -- Steal guns once, shame on you...
(Contact Hobson's Campaign: <hobsonforjudge.com>, <writein@hobsonforjudge.com>, <814-826-3126>)
Leslie Dutchcot is well-known around these parts as the judge who original disarmed Hobson McKown without evidence or specific, articulable belief that he was a flight risk or a danger to any person or the community. We do not want her to get a second term. Does she really deserve $500,000 over 6 years for what she has done her past 6 years for which she has already received over $350,000?
Leslie has crossfiled on both the Democratic and Republican tickets. Another candidate has also cross-filed, Ronald Quinn, Jr., who is not of notoriety.
However, it's time for the law-abider's revenge. Expecting a successful exoneration from the Superior court in the upcoming month, Hobson McKown himself is announcing a 'swift and aggressive' write-in campaign for May 21!
Use the e-mail MDJschool link on my profile to get contact information: Hobson urgently needs recycled signs (so he can make his own prior to Monday/Tuesday), press, and persons to hand out write-in information handouts on election day. 'However, as a judicial candidate without a committee, he cannot accept or solicit donations, or 'publicly stated support'.) Talk to your friends and family, and those you see on the street, and tell them about this important write-in option -- someone whom might follow the law! If you know youth who are registered, make sure to rally them to the polls. Tell the cynical not-gonna-vote-this-year folks too! It doesn't take too many hundreds of people to win this primary for either R or D or both!
Here is the advance text of the press release, which you may see reported online as early as tonight and by print and/or other outlets by tomorrow:
Hobson announces district judge write-in campaign
- Hobson McKown seeks ouster of incumbent district judge
Having gone toe-to-toe with Leslie Dutchcot, Hobson McKown seeks the Magisterial District Judge 49-2-01 office by swift and aggressive write-in campaigning.
“Public office holders rarely deserve a second chance in their own position, if any office at all, and should return to private life or find another way to help do right by our law,” Hobson stated. “It is not good for society to prop up career judges with 85k/year salaries for a guaranteed term of 6 years ($510,000). 30 years over six terms makes 3 million dollars. By going above and beyond, that must be earned.”
Hobson, a constitutional and criminal law frontiersman, said he has since a young age been a student of law with a concentration on unlearned and unearned authority, noting that he has been fighting for the constitutional rights of Pennsylvanians long before seeking this office.
“I have the genuine courtroom experience that provides empathy to all whom will come before me upon the bench. I have been the victim sitting across from criminals. I have been the innocent defendant. I have been up and down the criminal courts so that I understand the plight of each party. I have never been the driven district attorney, the detached defense lawyer, the passionate police officer, or the gregarious judge. But I do not have those bad habits to unlearn, leaving me only neutral, detached, fair and impartial.”
Employed over the past seven years by nationally recognized Pennsylvanian employers AccuWeather, Blair, and McKissock, Hobson now acts a private real estate acquisition specialist and devotes time to legal study. McKown is a 2006 Computer Programming ASB graduate of Bradford School of Pittsburgh, Pa.
Hobson completed the Magisterial District Judge certification training course in Harrisburg on December 2009. McKown took Constitutional Law courses as early as 2003 at Warren Area High School. He has subscribed to WestLaw for Pennsylvania and Federal legal resources for over 4 years.
“Jon Grine once asked if I was a lawyer, or if I was in law school, and that I should be if I was not. T.K. Kistler has applauded my study of and adherence to the principles contained in the Constitution,” Hobson said. “A local attorney assessed my legal acumen as ‘3rd year of law school’ yet I have not had formal secondary training. My legal reasoning and writing has found its way into defense briefs to both our local and appellate courts. My friends remind me to ‘stop getting all legal’,” quipped McKown.
Born and raised in Warren, Pa., Hobson has since been a resident of Centre County for five of the last seven years.
“Many know or remember me as only Hobson, confusing the name as to whether it is my first name or last name. I believe that allows a voter to write in H-O-B-S-O-N, without having to remember my full birth name, on a Democratic or Republican ballot,” explained Hobson. “And when you’re in front of that ballot, just remember that I am a Law and Order judge – order applies to you as it does to me and my fellow politicians, and our highest state law is our Pennsylvania Constitution.”Last edited by MDJschool; May 19th, 2013 at 02:58 AM.

By the way, voters needed must be from College Township Voting Districts North and West, Ferguson Township, Halfmoon Township, and Patton Township to vote for this office, Magisterial District Judge 49-2-01.

A more detailed request for assistance to elect Hobson at the May 21 Primary so that Leslie cannot be elected can be found at http://forum.pafoa.org/centre-50/219...ots-place.html. The content and audience differs from this post (the linked post targets locals who may be able to do the most to help but is not limited to locals) whereas this post is meant to show the candidacy announcement and rile up folks as a gun issue. After all, Leslie bans guns and burglaries occur thereafter. A win here is taking a gun-banner out of office and we can parade that around to encourage others in the future.

Sorry dude, this guy shouldn't have a gun. As the court acknowledged, he can't be trusted. Dutchcot did the right thing.

Interesting.... so you're in agreement that Mr. McKown is not a person??
Which is what happened during the initial trial regarding the alleged 18 Pa. Cons. Stat. § 913 violation and carry a firearm without a license, although Mr. McKown had a valid Maine firearm permit.
If this is the case, are you Jon Yost? Derry Township Solicitor that believes the township can 'ban' guns in township parks.

Sorry dude, this guy shouldn't have a gun. Why? As the court acknowledged, he can't be trusted. Upon what cause? Dutchcot did the right thing. Just point out proof that Pa.Crim.P., Rule 523 was observed. Finding the 'right thing' shouldn't be hard, right?
Sir, do you care to fill us in?
(I see this post has hit as high as second page of Google results for a 'Leslie Dutchcot' search so we will probably see several new accounts with this kind of lackluster sentiment being made...)
Strangely, instead of citing the particular factual instances which support his broad claim, John222 linked us to a transcript... in a case for which the defendant was already exonerated. It's not poor lil John222's fault, really, for every case brought against Hobson McKown in which Leslie Dutchcot or any other Centre County public official is involved, that case crumbles. Hobson is batting .667 since 2008 and will hit .999 by this year's end. Centre County may take no prisoners, but it seems that Hobson takes no plea bargains!
So, John222 will have to tell us what he's going to do when, woops, it turns out Mr. McKown is going to get all of his guns back this year after his innocence is proclaimed by our appellate court! Will John222 move out of Pennsylvania because Dutchcot can no longer keep such dangerous, untrustworthy people in line?

He may get off on technicalities, but he doesn't look like a pillar of the community to me. Punched someone in the face, harassment and tried to carry a gun into count.... sure the court should have had a gun locker, but he knew it didn't and brought the gun anyway. He can be your neighbor pal.

The court should have been providing storage for firearms since at least 1996.
