Default do i have to sign my trust in front of a notary?

Or can I fill out all the blanks and sign it and just bring it to the notary afterward?

I believe you have to sign in front of him and show photo ID.

^^ this is exactly how I did mine. I'm not a lawyer and am new to this, so I can't tell you for sure. I do know this is exactly how mine was done though.

Well that's what I ended up doing... However, I still don't see the difference between that vs signing it at home or my car, walking up to you/a notary and showing an ID and saying "see, it's me, that there is my signature, now please stamp it x times, multiply x * $10, and bend me over... Lube? Yes please!"

The point of the notary is for a legal witness of the actual signature of the actual person it says on the form. Not just to see if the form has been signed.
