    Default compact 9mm...

I am looking to branch out into a 9mm. Don't really need a sub-compact, and a full size is not that important. Any thoughts? By the way, I'm loving shooting my 22/45 mark III for practice... Even got used to the takedown ad reassemble... Thanks for the input guys!

Smith and Wesson M&P9 compact is an excellent choice and a great value which I 100% recommend. They're wonderfully accurate, durable, handle well, and disassembly is quite simple.

Glock 19 is an obvious choice.

Is this going to be carried or just a fun range pistol?

USP Compact or used Sig P228 are cool options too.

I'm a big fan of the Bersa UC series guns. They're comfortable to shoot, the trigger is as smooth as my Sig's and take down is as simple as flipping a lever. If you want a striker fired gun, they also have the BPCC, I haven't had a chance to shoot that yet, but from what I've heard and read, it seems to be on par with the UC series.

The other recommendations are good to. You can't go wrong with a Sig, M&P or Glock (I don't prefer the glock's trigger, but it's hard to find one that doesn't go bang every time). Just depends on if you want a steel gun, plastic gun, what price range you're in, and what you're using it for.

    Glock 19 or 26
    S&W M&P9c
    Springfield XDM compact

I don't think that you can go wrong with any of the above.
Tomorrow's battle is won during today's practice.

This is way to open ended. It would help to know 1. First and most important, What is your budget? 2. Second, what is your intended use? 3. What are your preferences on guns? (Steel vs plastic, DA/SA vs DAO vs SA, something that you can customize[visually], magazine capacity)

Depending on your answers, I would recommend a Glock 19, XDM 3.8, or the M&P 9c. That is if you want plastic, no frills, high capacity type of gun.

If you want a high capacity steel, or aluminum, framed gun. I would look at Sig's P229 and P228.

Or if you are looking for easy(ier) carry(single stack, low capacity, mid size) I'd recommend the Sig P239 or Springfield EMP.

    M&P 9c
    SR9c
    P239
    XDM 3.8

All wouild be excellent choices, as a previous poster said, alot of the choice will come down to what you want to do with it, personal preference, and how they feel/point in your hands.

This is easy. CZ 75 P01, CZ75 PCR or CZ75 all steel compact. If you want to keep cost down get the CZ75 P07, which is a poly. All excellent shooters. Built like tanks too. If size is not a problem, a full size cz75...
