    Default Ranges or places to shoot near westchester?

    Relative is coming for a visit next week...He will be staying in westchester and has expressed an interest in going shooting. Problem is he needs to stay close to westchester.

    Are there any ranges (outdoors) in that area we would be able to go to?

    There are no "Public" outdoor ranges that I am aware of around/near West Chester. The closest public outdoor range would be the French Creek State Game Lands range but remember that you must have a valid hunting license now to shoot there.

    Plenty of indoor ranges!

    If you are looking for indoor ranges that you pay to use, French Creek Outfitters on Phoenixville, and Targetmaster in Chadds Ford are probably the closest.

    depending when he's going to be here. Some clubs have shoots open to the public. You might have to throw some bucks at them, but it's something.
    ....Then Piers Morgan came on and I almost got a concussion from facepalming so hard.

    thanks...looks like a no-go though. plan was to pick him up in the afternoon to go shooting, than go back to the peoples house he is staying with for a surprise birthday party for him...Unfortunately the people that he is staying with freaked out about the idea of guns being at their house, even if they are in my car. Apparently the one guy that lives there has a PA LTCF so Im not sure what their problem is.

    Very disappointing. I thought most of those people lived over in Jersey.
