Re: Fiber Optic front sight....red or green...and why?
I was looking at the truglow tfo stuff and they have an all green front and rear sight, and a yellow rear and green front sight. Does anybody have any experience with the yellow rear sights?

Guess it would also depend on intended use. In the woods I prefer red.

Re: Fiber Optic front sight....red or green...and why?
I've used red, green, yellow, orange and purple fiber. They tend to be follow that order in terms of brightness to most eyes. This is assuming the same size and length of the fiber. The thicker or longer fibers will appear brighter.
If using three dot sights I prefer the rear sights to be yellow or orange because I wan't my focus on the front sight. I typically use a black blade in the rear for this very reason.

Re: Fiber Optic front sight....red or green...and why?
I shoot Warren Sevigny sights on my Glock. I use a front FO and rear is black. The front is either red or yellow/green. I've actually blacked out the top of the FO so it draws less light in bright day light. I found with the front sight too bright, I wound up shooting it like a dot sight and not seeing the full sight picture. With a dim FO front sight it's enough to draw your eye to it, but it's not over powering. Front and rear FO's are too confusing to me, I fing the black rear sight much faster.

Re: Fiber Optic front sight....red or green...and why?
I put the green/yellow Tru Glo on my M&P 9 which I use for IDPA and carry. I can pickup the green front sight very quickly. In daylight, it is brighter than the yellow rear sights. Makes for really quick sight picture and the yellow rear sights don't overpower at all. Previously, I had a red Dawson Precision FO front sight and the factory rear which I shot IDPA for years. I have to say that I think that I am a bit faster with Tru Glo, but I might have lost a bit of accuracy on the long shots (20-25 yds). The Dawson Precision FO had a smaller FO rod than the Tru Glo.
At night, the Tru Glo is really awesome. Shows up great.
