Default State Representative stopped by my house today

I was out in my yard with my wife and son today when lo and behold State Representative Greg Vitali(D) walked down my driveway to say Hi and ask was there anything he could do for us. He starts into his "I see by your name that you are Italian" and starts to speak it to us because he's been taking lessons. At this point knowing he's a gun grabber, I inform him that my wife and I firmly believe in the second amendment and both of us carry concealed firearms. He surprisingly replies "are you guys packing heat right now" I admit I had to laugh at him and say "no not at this time". He then says that "we have to come to a middle ground on guns". To which I replied that any legislation that attacks law abiding gun owners will not be tolerated. He then politely said he had to move on but it was nice meeting us.I just thought I'd pass this on to everyone.

Thanks, my wife was a little embarrased but told me she knew that I was going to say something.

"Common ground has already been enshrined for us in the Constitution."

you should have asked him if he also believes in 'middle ground' for the 1st, 4th, and 5th amendments....

It seemed odd to me that he was going door to door. Hey He asked what he could do for us and I gave him an answer.

Just not what he was looking for.
