    Default Opinions on M&P40

I would like to hear from some People that own the M&P 40. I was looking at one today and would like to know what you think about it.

I have the MP 40 compact and love it.

I haven't gotten to put too many rounds through it yet, but I'm up to 350 or so and it's been flawless. The gun feels great in my hand, it's balanced nicely, and the interchangable backstraps give a nice touch to customizing your grip. It looks badass, and is proving to be exactly that IMO. It's accurate as hell, especially being that mine's a compact version.

I wish ammo was cheaper, but it's getting expensive now for all cals.

I thinking of trading in my gp100 for an M&P40.

I have the full size M&P 40 --- beautifully balanced and SWEET.

Just installed Crimson Trace laser grips.

Gun is far more accurate than I am capable of shooting.

You might want to check with S&W to see if they are going to extend beyond April 30th the $50.00 rebate and two free mags.
I used to be indecisive. Now I'm not sure.

It is the full size model with a 4.25 barrel. It was 529 out the door. I had a gift card from my wife for my birthday a while back. I would have gotten it some where else if not for the gift card.

You still get the $50 rebate and 2 mags, so these are a pretty good deal right now. I went in for a 9 a couple weeks ago, and came home with the 40. I did the over-travel reduction job, and it feels pretty good. I still need to put it on paper, to see how the groups look, but having shot a some steel plates , it is right on with the point of aim.

What is the over travel reduction job? I did not see anything adjustable on the trigger. I have to send in the card on Monday. I am going to clean it tonight and take it apart.
