Ugly pistol thread
I have been seeing pictures of some damn nice safe queen and figured that it's time to start looking at ugly/beat pistols that have had a rough live protecting their owners.
I'll start the ball rolling with my ugly duckling...
this pistol has been through the war, monsoons, mud, and streams and believe or not will still fire and function.
This one isn't for sale and is one of my safe queen. The oracle is in. Age and treachery will always overcome youth and skill!!

Re: Ugly pistol thread
I'll agree with you on the ugly, but had I been through the same war, mud, streams and whatnot, can't say I'd look any better.

MOUNTAINORACLE
That is what a well loved tool should look like! As long as she still functions, she is BEAUTIFUL!

Here is my ugly child. Iver Johnson 55A Target model in .22 rimfire.
It is probably the gun I use the most. .22Short's and CB's is what I primarily use in it for yard pests and at my "parlor" range in the basement. It is in a brown patina, however the action is like brandnew.
I bought in a package deal with my Rossi 720 44spl from a coworker a few years ago. I paid a bit more than it was worth, but my coworker needed the $$$. Someday I'm going to strip it and refinish it. It isn't worth anything as a collectors gun, so I wont be hurting any value.
