    Default S665 Universal Background Checks

    Here it is:

    See: http://www.legis.state.pa.us/cfdocs/...&type=B&bn=665

    Regular Session 2013-2014
    Senate Bill 665

Short Title: An Act amending Title 18 (Crimes and Offenses) of the Pennsylvania Consolidated Statutes, in firearms and other dangerous articles, further providing for sale or transfer of firearms.
    Prime Sponsor: Senator HUGHES
Last Action: Referred to JUDICIARY, May 3, 2013 [Senate]
Memo: Uniform Firearms Act - Background Checks
Removes the "handguns only" definition of a firearm. Makes firearms gifts between spouses etc. illegal without background check.

Do I have to say we need to oppose this?

Lol was just about to post this up. I love how their anti gun bills get like 3-5 cosponsors and our pro gun bills get like 50.

Wrote my state reps, the governor's office, and Kane to tell them to lay off gun-control.

This is getting ridiculous now, and most people are burnt out from the federal gun control battle and they are counting on people not reaching out on the state level.

Only problem is that they get stuck in Judiciary for months... or until they recess for the year and we have to start all over again..... Would like to go see the members of the Judiciary committee and tell them to quit screwing around and GET TO WORK

and YES... I have written each and every one of them

I know. I do the same thing! The Judiciary is where proposed legislation goes to die. Thank goodness on certain bills.
