Default York County LTCF, Paper or Plastic?

    Hi All,

Been reading your forum for a little while now and decided to register. I was wondering if anyone knew whether the LTCF's from York county are paper or plastic? Just got my email to pick it up (less than 24 hours after I dropped it off which was awesome), and just wanted to know if anyone knew. Thanks!

While in the past some counties issued different versions of the LTCF ( ), ALL counties now should be issuing the same kind.

It is a piece of paper that is laminated.

Pick yours up, then you can tell us.

I got mine in December '08 and I believe they are different now. Why are you asking, I wonder? You'll have it in your hands in minutes.

EDIT: Welcome to PAFOA! Yes, our York County Sheriff is fast.

While many claim to support the right, precious few support the practice.

That's what mine is, laminated paper. I was actually hoping it would change. Mine looks like some junior high school kid faked it in his mom's basement. Very unprofessional looking, especially next to my Utah permit.

Thanks for the welcome! I'll let you guys know when I pick it up. I was just hoping it would be similar to a PA DL like the Maryland one I'll have. In any case, I'll be sure to let you know! The reason I ask is my work hours won't allow me to get to York and pick it up for a while from today.

I am more interested in knowing how you were able to get your hands on a MD one...I work in The Peoples Democratic Republic of Maryland and I have grudingly just accepted having to leave my rights at the north side of the mason dixon.

Got mine last month. Paper laminated with plastic. Does look kind of JV but also coming from Maryland I don't care if it was written with a crayon on a post-it note. I'm just happy to be able to get one

The carry license I'll have for Maryland is only for work, should have mentioned that. It will only allow me to carry to, from and during work.

I assume you either guard someone important or guard an important person's money
