Stopped in a few days ago to meet him. Chuck Lutz worked at Dunklebergers. Most experience seems to be with Rifles.
He has a lot of work from Dunklebergers now as well as from other dealers.

Nice guy and will give straight answer. No idea as to quality of work or turnaround.

he worked on my S&W sigma. The mag doesnt drop anymore. Quick turn around. Good guy.

I took in a rifle that I couldn't get to function properly. He seems like a pretty good guy. Not only did he fix the problem he also inspected the entire gun and found another small problem that needing addressing that I didn't know about. The pricing seems very respectable and the turn around time is pretty good. I'm a satisfied customer.

He once had a shop in Southampton, Bucks County where I was a regular customer He is a very nice guy and has always done quality work for me. I had heard a few months ago that he was in business again up in the Poconos but didn't know where.

Most experience with rifles? Chuck Lutz is a wizard with 1911's. He used to work for Leslie Edelman, and is the gunsmith Edelman hired to originally setup and manage Kimber's first 1911 production line at the Yonkers, NY plant.

Chuck is, also, a master woodworker who does really beautiful restoration work on old firearms; and, yes, most of these are rifles. Personally, I wouldn't let anyone else in the Poconos touch one of my guns.

I bought a used Kimber of Oregon 82 last weekend, and I could not figure out how to remove the bolt. When I called Kimber of America, the company directed me to Chuck Lutz. I spoke to him on the phone this past Wednesday, and he took the time to describe what to do. He offered to walk me through over the phone if I had additional problems.
