I'd like to see an officer try to cite someone for a piggy-back ride.
I'll ask a cop I know personally, they aren't too bad around here.

Save the confusioon you'll get from asking a LEO. You need a LTCF for ANY vehicle.

^This. Do not rely on anyone else to tell you what is legal. Saying "I asked a cop I know" will not save you in court. Read and understand the law for yourself. Words that are critical to understanding the meaning of the statutes are usually defined...

"Vehicle." A conveyance in or on which persons or property may be carried.

While many claim to support the right, precious few support the practice.

So you cannot drive to the 7-11 park, take out your long gun and walk around. In fact you can't stop at the 7-11 at all as you must be going directly to and from the small list of exempted places. You would have to leave the house and walk everywhere not using any type of public or private vehicle for transportation. This includes, cars, motorbikes, ,busses, trains, cabs, etc.
    This post is incorrect

Don't have time to correct it but wanted people to know to ignore it

You can make necessary stops such as gas, food, or lodging.

You guys are missing him talking about a "long gun"

Long guns are not firearms. You can drive around all day

In regards to firearms, no, you can't make any stops

That always made me wonder about skateboards. After all, you need at least one foot on the ground to propel yourself.

So far, all definitions I can find for "conveyance" say "a means of transport".

While we can discuss the oddity of using a skateboard as a means of transport, it certainly accomplishes the task, and the law makes no exception for occasionally putting your foot on the ground.

That's why the LTCF is so nice to have.

The reason why I'd ask is because I keep getting different answers with the bicycle question. Nothing I read explicitly states bicycles as a means of conveyance and requiring a LCTF. I had assumed they referred to motor vehicles.
