Re: Yet another encounter with a New Yorker.....
Worry about Number One first, and your Ambassador Post second.
Let's face it, not all of these douchenozzles will be wooed with the carrot. When the carrot is your only tool, every problem looks like a rabbit. Or something The real problem is that most of the nozzles have never seen the stick before. Stand up as always.

Re: Yet another encounter with a New Yorker.....
I have been riding over 30 years, every bike I have owned has had a reserve. I have run out of gas three times, each time because someon sat on my bike, decided to touch things and tuned my trip meter off its true number and turned my tank to reserve. All thee times it was my fault for not checking the gas cock. One time I was telling myself, wow I am getting great mileage today followed by that sick feeling when your engine starves you switch the tank to what you think is reserve only to find out you are out.
On my current bike I highlighted the valve with white and red paint on the wording and arrow. If it happens again then it will still be my fault

Re: Yet another encounter with a New Yorker.....
I get 125 - 145 on a full tank depending on how hard I ride my Buell XB9S. My bike doesn't have a reserve or a gauge.... It just has a stupid light that comes on when I have .9 gallons of fuel left.
When you are called a racist, it just means you won an argument with an Obama supporter.

Re: Yet another encounter with a New Yorker.....
Him - I just need to get to a gas station... I ran out of gas again. I have a small can in my bag.... can you point me in the direction of a gas station?
Me - There's a station a few blocks over, I can give you a ride if you like.
Him - No thanks, I can walk a few blocks... maybe this will serve as a reminder for me to keep better tabs on my fuel level or pay someone to fix the god-damned fuel light on my bike.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6mK2JYfZAmA When will America become America?

Re: Yet another encounter with a New Yorker.....
My Honda has neither a gauge nor a low fuel warning light. Only time I ever ran out of gas was because I dropped it off for service with a full fuel tank and expected to get it back still full or nearly so.
The first one to use the word "sheeple" automatically loses the argument.
